This adapter requires a USB-C phone that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode). For iPhones, that means iPhone 15 or newer. For Android, your device must support DP Alt Mode output — not all Android phones do. You can verify with the "USB-C DisplayPort Checker" app on the Play Store. Older iPhones with Lightning connectors are not compatible.
Yes. The Mirror Link connects through your car's existing wired CarPlay USB port. Your vehicle must have factory-installed wired CarPlay (typically 2015 model year or newer). It does not add CarPlay to vehicles that don't already have it.
